I remember how astonishingly surprising it was for me to find out that there are rules for dolls demanding them to be measured and provided with an identification documents. Even when it comes to people I don’t like the idea of passports and borders; it’s even worse with dolls, whose personalities are derived from artist’s imagination.
I don’t want to compete with God and to try to make exact copies of humans. My dolls are not humans, they are different. I don’t draw them from my mind, they just come through me; that’s why I never do exact replicas of even my own works. I can make an author’s copy though – it means that such copy will carry the similarity of emotional state, not the sameness of delineation.
