Usually, porcelain dolls are being made by the following procedure: first a hands and a head are sculpted from soft plastics, then they are casted with gypsum to make a mold, and finally the porcelain is poured into that mold. Because of a long duration of that process the procelain dolls come out face cold and lacking of expression. A mold lets to produce many replicas of the same doll.
Hand sculpted porcelain
I combined ß ñîåäèíèëà firmness and dignity of a porcelain ìàòåðèàë with airiness and animation of a hand sculpted doll. Porcelain hand sculpting is tough, but a great pleasure of watching a birth of alive and emotional porcelain figures helps to proceed.
